Free Consultation

A fifteen-minute conversation by video or phone. No pressure, no strings attached, no obligations. Just time to get to know one another and see if we’re a good fit.

Individual Therapy

One-on-one therapy. Free from pressure, expectations, and the demand to perform.

Most clients who come in to my therapy space aren’t in crisis. Instead, they’re seeking reprieve from the mental fatigue so many of us experience. If you find yourself feeling exhausted from overthinking, the endless demands of everyday life, or working overtime, this space is for you.

In our sessions, I slow things down, recognize the patterns that are holding you back, and seek the version of yourself that has seemed out of reach. I listen to you – your nervous system, your words, your needs – to gauge how fast or slow we go.

Teen Therapy

One-on-one therapy, designed for teens (ages 12-18). No pressure or expectations, freedom for teens to be themselves.

Being a teenager in the twenty-first century isn’t always easy. Many of my teenage clients struggle with navigating increased independence, changing relationships, and life transitions as their world changes.

Therapy offers a supportive, safe space for teens to explore their thoughts and feelings, develop healthy coping skills, and build self-confidence and resilience. In addition to offering space to talk through things, sessions may incorporate hands-on activities and skill-building exercises.

I encourage parents to be as involved as they and their teen(s) feel comfortable. The level of parental involvement often varies, depending on the teen’s age, developmental needs, and treatment goals. I meet with parents at least once a month (either with or without the teen present, depending on preferences and needs) to discuss treatment progress, offer support and coaching, and address any ongoing concerns.

A Typical Session

  • Real conversations with space to talk about both the highs and lows
  • Curiosity about reactions, feelings, and thought process
  • Building safety and security
  • Naming things in your words
  • Tools and strategies that fit you, not a textbook

Approaches and Modalities

Clients can expect sessions to be compassion-focused, culturally sensitive, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed.

Brainspotting

An approach that identifies and uses specific eye positions (“brainspots”) to process trauma and emotional distress. This modality is underpinned by the premise that “where you look affects how you feel.” It is deeply transformative and somatic in nature. It doesn’t rely on talking things out or verbally digging up the past; instead, it fosters a sense of nervous system homeostasis.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

A structured, goal-oriented form of therapy that focuses on the intersections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, including negative or distorted thought patterns that are not serving you. This modality explores your interpretations and perceptions of events and builds coping strategies to help you respond to life’s challenges in a healthier and more effective way.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

A type of CBT used to build mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation skills. This modality focuses on managing intense emotions and reducing self-destructive behaviors.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

A form of therapy designed to increase “psychological flexibility” and accept the difficult parts of life without judgment. We explore your personal values and seek actions that align with them.

Somatic Therapy

A therapeutic approach that focuses on the mind-body connection and release the physical stress and tension built by trauma, stress, and worries.

Art and Music

Creativity is a powerful tool in the therapeutic space. Creative expression can be incredibly helpful in processing complex emotions and gives space for clients who might struggle with traditional talk therapy or verbal communication.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

A goal-directed approach that focuses on the future rather than dwelling on past problems. Sessions focus on your personal strengths, successes, and the “small wins” that you might have overlooked. Focus is on answering the question, “What do you want instead?”
